How to Plan Your Day like a Boss Everyday

The key to maintaining a schedule that can reduce your anxiety and frustration is consistency. You have to do the small things each month, each week, each day. You can not get sidetracked by distractions that will divert your focus. You can plan each day like a boss with a few key practices. Boss scheduling focuses on priorities and eliminates or delegates extraneous tasks.

Establish a routine you can live with.

There are plenty of people doing things they do not enjoy every day. Try hard to not be one of those people. How do you do that? Decide on who you are and what makes you happy. People can recommend getting up at 5am to get your day started. That does not fit my personality. I can do it for a segment of time but to make it part of my regular routine, I will fail every time. I have to do what works for me. And you have to do works for you. Discover yourself. Support who you are and then create your routine.

Create time blocks for tasks.

There is a lot reported on time blocking. Why it works and why it doesn’t. There are some pure time blockers who never stray from their blocked schedule. Again this is very personal. I find time blocking is very helpful when I have numerous tasks to do in one day. Scheduling certain for exact times in my schedule works well so I can focus my attention on the task at hand. During these times, I do not attend to any other tasks that do not relate directly to what I am doing at the scheduled time. In order to start time blocking, you have to want to establish a daily plan. Find out more about why establishing a plan is important here. Have more interest in time blocking? Anything that can be prepped should be prepped.

This includes meal prepping, picking out clothes, packing purses or backpacks. Prepping can prevent frustration when time is short like in the mornings or when you have to get out the door to an appointment. Prepping helps especially when you are responsible for getting others ready as well as yourself. You never know when something unexpected will arise. Prepping can keep you somewhat ahead of your daily tasks.

Make time for yourself and time for you and your spouse.

Self care is always important to have in your schedule. BUT so is that time that you can spend with your spouse. This creates a bond between the two of you that is strengthened. Every relationship needs self care. Why do you love the your spouse? Remind yourself of these reasons and spend some time together!
